installing sql server 2000

Hello,
im new to sql server 2000. After I install it on my xp machine, I tried
starting
the server by clicking on the service manager. I got the following error.
"service could not start due to logon failure". I then went into enterprise
manager, selected the service group, and selected new server registration.
In there I was told the instance of my server is already registered. Does
anyone know what I can do next?
Hello,
The SQL server needs to do "log on" an account of
administrator, verifies that your account has the necessary privileges
or places the correct account in the properties of the service, for
that you have to go to the services of your PC and look for
service MSSQLSERVER then in properties go to the tab Log On, and select the
option "Log on as: This account " then fill the box with the correct
account...
