InstallingSQL Server September 2005 Community Technology Preview ...errors

Hi,

I am trying to install Microsoft SQL Server September 2005 Community Technology Preview.

I get the generic error saying "SQL Server 2005 setup has detected incompatibe components..."

So I checked the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\SQLSetup0020_Core.log file

which says

SQL Server 2005 Setup has detected incompatible components from beta versions of Visual Studio, .NET Framework, or SQL Server 2005. Use Add or Remove Programs to remove these components, and then run SQL Server 2005 Setup again. For detailed instructions on uninstalling SQL Server 2005, see the SQL Server 2005 Readme.

I understand that I need to uninstall "Microsoft SQL Server Setup Support Files (English)"

But when I try to do that I get
"A network error occured while attempting to read from C:\Winnt\Installer\SQLSupport.msi"

how do i fix this...how come nobody has a clue....|||Which previous version of Yukon / Whidbey did you have installed. Yukon comes with an uninstaller in the \Servers\Setup Tools folder. Use that to uninstall previous versions.|||When I ran the uninstall program its says

"There are no SQL Server 2005 or .Net Framework components to unistall"|||How did you uninstall the previous version ?|||I didnt have any version of SQL Server 2005.
What I had is the .net Framework 2.0 Beta version which I unistalled as per the reqm of SQL Server 2005.|||moreover the Change/Remove button for SQL Server Setup Support Files is greyed out...so I can uninstall it either..and SQL Server 2005 setup wont run unless I unless
I get rid of it...
what the heck is goin on..

Installing SQL Server 2000 on Windows Server 2003

I'm trying to install SQL Server 2000 w/ SP2 on Windows Server 2003 (WS2003). However, when I do, I get a message saying that WS2003 will not support it. I've looked on microsoft.com and found that I need SQL Server 2000 w/ SP3. My problem is that I have the SP3 Upgrade for SQL Server 2000, but I can't install that without first having installed SQL Server 2000. How can I get SQL Server 2000 on WS2003

JoeThe message is just a warning. Install SQL Server and *then* apply sp3.

Installing sql notification service

Hello, I'm trying to install sql notification service on my laptop, but its giving me an error saying that the .net framework should be installed. I have the .net framework 1.1 and vs.net 2003 installed. Any one have any ideas what would cause this??The error is from dumb Install Shield installer that will not detect what is already installed in the box because the stupid application goes to Install Shield website to extract the file it thinks it needs. If you say no it terminates the install operation. Hope this helps.

installing SQL 2005 Management Studio

Hello:
When I try to install SQL Server 2005 Management Studio from the
SQLRun_Tools.exe file on the CD, I get a message saying the following:
"A component that you have specificed in the ADD_LOCAL propety is already
installed. To upgrade the existing component, refer to the template ini and
set the UPGRADE property to the name of the component."
How do I get past this and get the Studio installed?

To install the client tools from the command line check out

and the ADDLOCAL option with the value SQL_Tools90
