Installing SQL service on its own

We Managed to install the MSDE system but it did not
install the SQL service again.
Is there a way to setup a MSSQL SERVER service manually on
Windows NT4.

what problems are raised and reported in the installation log text file?
search for
RETURN VALUE 3
about 10/15 lines before or after each entry a description of the problem(s)
is reported

Installing SQL Server 2005

Hi,

During the installtion of SQL Server 2005 (Win2k3 SP2) the msxml setup fail. When i try to install manually the msxml i get the error "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". I'm the machine administrator.

Someone can help me?

i get the same problem on windows xp. i still dont know how to solve this. with all the changes i have made to the registery to try and get this right. i am thankful the registery still works. lol. have you had any luck in finding an answer?
