Installing SqL SP2 on sql 2005 clustered

Hi,

I have installed sql sp2 after finished core installation. I thought that it would deploys to node 2 as well (I did it on node 1) but when i tried to shutdown node 1 the clusters will be on node2, I could not to use MS management studio that including sp2 on node2. Why? What should I do?

Please answers me asap.

Appreciate everyone to come in help.

Thank you very much.

You have to install SP2 on each node of the cluster.

It does not 'automagically' install on additional nodes after you install it on one node.

Installing SQL 7 SP4 is a Domain are domain accounts required

When installing SQL 7 (non clustered) on a server is it neccessary to use
domain accounts.
e.g. We have a web server that is part of the workgroup "workgroup" this web
server is to access via the application on it the SQL database that resides
on a separate server (also in "workgroup") is it neccessary to create a
domain and have both these servers as members?
Thank youThere is no domain account for a workgroup topology. You will want to use
sql login for your authentication.

connectivity to the SQL Server machine will either have to be done with SQL
authentication or passthrough authentication (the same NT user and password
on both the client and SQL Server machine)

Installing SQL 2000 on Windows 2003 Clustered Nodes

Hi all,
I'm trying to install SQL 2000 on a Windows 2003 Server Cluster. I've set
up two nodes in the cluster. When I try to install SQL on Node1, I get the
following error: "can't install sql server on all clustered nodes." Anyone
have any ideas?
TIAHi,
Please check following article:
http://www.winnetmag.com/Article/ArticleID/40037/40037.html
I had problems with Cluster installation on Windows2003 before most of the
time the problem was a service which is running on both nodes. Like MOM
Agent, Antivirus SW Service, Tivoli agent, IBMDirector agent etc. So first
try to stop all unnecessary service on both nodes (take them to manual on
both nodes and reboot them then try setup again.)
Verfiy that the user you use has administrative rights on both nodes and
able to access administrative shares.
And verify that you don't have any name resolution problems. (Each node
using same DNS , WINS etc..)
Hope this helps.

a completely new system and half the stuff that was supposed to be
pre-configured wasn't... After about 3 hours of re-configuring everything
it's finally up and running :)
Thanks again!
